I was researching purchasing of some new engines for the upcoming season at NOLA Motorsports Park and found that my setup is not the norm. You must keep in mind I am a complete rookie to kart racing, and therefore had no idea what the norm was for a KT100 engine set-up.

So, I start looking to buy engines from many of the normal online places and notice that they all have the crankcase reversed from how my kart is set-up. It turns out my kart has been set-up for inward drive by flipping the crankshaft, filling old pulse line, and creating new pulse fitting on crankcase. Now I don’t even know if my current engine will be legal for my class!?! AWESOME!

More to come on how things turn out…
